Day 71 - Transportation costs going up

Our cost to move around the county is NOT free. Here's a sample from around Frederick today. I paid around $3.10 a few times last May, but not this much.

It's getting very ugly around here, too.

Looks like you're paying the same thing we are. Although get this: around the corner from me on Saturday, it was $3.24. I was on Disney property visiting some friends and filled up for $3.16. Who says everything is more expensive at Disney World!

Wow. I can't believe how cheap your petrol is. Petrol in the UK is about £1.10 per litre or about $8.50 US per gallon.

Thanks all,

I know we are not alone in the high prices for gas. Normally, there would be a 10 cents difference among these stations and prices closer to Washington are 40 cents higher than here. I have not been to Europe for some time, but some of my colleagues at work have been, so we are familiar with the much higher cost of petrol in UK and other parts of Europe.
