Strolling down Market Street on Saturday I spotted this duo performing behind the statue of a dog. Another canine seemed to be taking an interest in the bas fiddle.

With a small hole between the street and sidewalk, it is odd that trees survive.

This may not be an odd shot in Yakima Valley, but it is in Maryland. John Deere tractors have wheels and this is the only John Deere crawler I have seen. In the 1940's John Deere shipped tractor chassis to the Lindeman brothers in Yakima where they were mounted on crawler tracks. The crawlers were preferred in the orchards as they were more stable on the hills. Later John Deere manufactured crawlers in its Dubuque factory. (Image taken May 2010 at the Gladhill Tractor Mart, Frederick, MD).

On a visit to my brother-in-law's this weekend I spotted a family of rare woodland flamingos wandering through the pines behind his house. They remained still while I took this shot..
