The main creek really does run under the bridge seen just beyond the "35" sign. But with a lot of rain in a short period last Wednesday, water flowed down the near side of the flood plain. There is a culvert under the road where the water is flowing. The good news is that there was no damage and the road reopened Thursday afternoon.It rained steadily yesterday afternoon and last night and when I checked our gauge this morning, this is what I found:

This afternoon I went out for a look-see at the flooding. Here is the view looking back toward our house from the other side of the fields. Notice the geese in the lower left enjoying a swim.
