As I finished cutting the grass last week, this cat bird landed on the mower to catch a ride (or maybe just to look for dinner). It must have a nest near our shed and has no fear of people, hopping down and walking within a few feet of me. 
We went to IKEA yesterday to get a few things for the house. When the cashier was ringing up the prices, she put the flowers in this vase Marianne found, and I thought Grand Ole Opry and Minnie Pearl. So today I put the vase and flowers on the table and you have my Odd Shot for this week.

The above image was taken May 7 towards the sun over Carroll Creek. I got a bright reflection and dark silhouette of the city skyline. I used the levels command in PhotoShop Elements to adjust the range of dark and light tones in the image and got the image below which brought our details not visible in the normal image. A further adjustment of the color gave the dramatic third image.

I have shown reflections in this widow in the past from a different angle. This time you get to see some of the inside of the Candy Kitchen window as well as the skyline across the street. More shots of this window are on my Window Views post this week.
The main creek really does run under the bridge seen just beyond the "35" sign. But with a lot of rain in a short period last Wednesday, water flowed down the near side of the flood plain. There is a culvert under the road where the water is flowing. The good news is that there was no damage and the road reopened Thursday afternoon.
