We went to IKEA yesterday to get a few things for the house. When the cashier was ringing up the prices, she put the flowers in this vase Marianne found, and I thought Grand Ole Opry and Minnie Pearl. So today I put the vase and flowers on the table and you have my Odd Shot for this week.
As for the old windmills, I was thinking it would be neat to find a farm that still has one (you see them often enough around here--might not be working, but at least standing) and have the turbines in the back like my farmstead shot. I will have to do some exploring to find one--or be extremely lucky.
NOTICE: Due to an increase in SPAM on older posts and an obnoxious post July 13, I no longer allow anonymous posts.
I began this blog in 2008 after I retired. My main interest is photography and so most posts will contain photos, along with brief comments or explanations. I participate in several weekly blogs and occasionally post my own recurring themes. Occasionally I throw in comments, kudos or complaints about the world situation. Links to my other two blogs are below the "Disclaimer".

I am retired, married to a smart, talented lady who once thought we computer people were geeks and now is one of us geeks. I have a long time interest in photography. We live in Maryland, about 50 miles from Washington, DC.
My main camera is a Nikon D3100 with two zoom lenses (18-55 and 55-200).
