Reflection - Greenbrier Lake

As we left home for Greenbrier Lake yesterday, a thunderstorm was starting to drop a little rain (scattered showers were predicted). We drove through the rain and found the sun again as we went over Catoctin Mountain. Arriving at the lake we discovered empty beaches, still water and reflections all around. One of the lifeguards said they had quite a storm and had closed the lake to swimming (it was opened shortly after I took these shots). The last shot taken in late afternoon shows the sun reflecting off the normally moving water.

Weekend Reflections is hosted by James of Newtown Area Photo.

What wonderful reflections, Lew! I do love the watery ones and these are terrific! I really enjoyed all of them! Hope you have a great weekend!

Sounds like the storm got you some alone time on the lake, as well as an opportunity for some nice photos.

Great reflections. I knew storms were our friend! The kids in the water is a great silhouette too. Here is my entry.

My favorite is the last one... I love those pearls of light on the surface of the water... It gives it somekind of oily consistance, very pretty... And people seems to have so much fun !

The fawn down below is lovely too. Getting big.

The serene landscape and color in the first shot is soothing to look at and I love the 'diamonds' on the water in the last shot. :)
Nicely captured!
