This is my favorite iris. It is also one my Mom gave us from her garden years ago and they have done well in Maryland after their relocation from South Carolina.
Your irises are beautiful. For some reason our didn't bloom much this year. We had a tree removed and I thought they would go crazy, but not so much. It maight be time to move some around and get them stirred up.
I like the second shot best. It is clear and crisp and the color came out perfectly.
The purple & white Iris was also my grandmother's favorite flower. The house she used to live in has been neglected and a forest of these blossoms were blooming all around it last time I drove by. It was a well decorated relic. (The neighbor man mows the yard. My uncle, in his 90's, takes no interest in the property.)

I am retired, married to a smart, talented lady who once thought we computer people were geeks and now is one of us geeks. I have a long time interest in photography. We live in Maryland, about 50 miles from Washington, DC.
My main camera is a Nikon D3100 with two zoom lenses (18-55 and 55-200).
