The sun was shining this morning, but the ground fog gave an eerie view over the field behind our house. And as I was about to go inside at dusk, I caught sight of a bird flying to the tree above me. At first glance I thought it was a robin, but when I looked at the image (taken with flash) on my screen - it was a cardinal.

Great catch! I never can get a good shot of our friendly neighborhood cardinals.
Lovely Cardinal.. I saw one in our backyard the other day, but he was too elusive for the camera. Luckily and Egret came by and posed nicely for me. I put that photo on my main blog since so few people make it to my photo blog.
