Day 269 - Yellow lily (and Photoshop)

Our other lilies quit blooming earlier in the summer heat, but this one just kept on blooming. I don't usually do much more than an occasional crop or brightness/contrast adjustment. But I decided this photo is a good subject for alteration. First cropping, then adjust brightness and contrast to deepen the yellow, finally sharpen to bring out the texture of the blooms.

Then I messed with the color on this one.

I think Photoshop may be on my Christmas list, though I can usually do what I want with the basic editing software that is already available to me. It would be fun to play.

Very cool. Maybe I DO want photoshop. I especially like the 2nd one. Incredible.

"Messing" around with pictures can be more fun than taking them.

Hi Lew!!!
Wow...the yellow lily photos are more than perfect. But you went and changed the color? How you did that is beyond me...talented!!!!

Have a glorious weekend.

I like the original but am quite impressed by what you managed to do to it in photoshop

FYI. I do not have the full blown Photoshop software. I have Photoshop Elements 2.0 (current version is 7.0) that came with my scanner. It will do a bunch of edits to a photo, but I have not tried most of them yet.
