Carroll Street Bridge - revisited

Carroll Street Bridge seen from the pedestrian bridge

Last week I posted a reflection of part of the Carroll Street Bridge for "Reflections". Andrea Priebe commented that she would like to see more of the bridge, so here are some recent images of the bridge and a little history. The bridge is actually standard concrete construction. The stone blocks and other features were the work of William Cochran and others who painted the concrete to look like stone masonry and other objects. For more history of the bridge go to Community Bridge.
