Sonny and Cher are two cats adopted by our SC family several years ago. They belonged to a neighbor, but hung out at Jim and Tammy's where they go extra food and play time. After Sonny got injured in a fight with some other animal, Jim took him to the vet for treatment. Afterwards he asked the neighbor if they could officially adopt both cats and they said okay. Cher is more aloof (unless you are getting milk from the fridge), but Sonny hung out with me during our visit earlier this month. He also likes to sleep in the middle of the living room and can sleep in almost any position. I would not think that sleeping with my head facing backwards would be comfortable, but he sure does.

I began this blog in 2008 after I retired. My main interest is photography and so most posts will contain photos, along with brief comments or explanations. I participate in several weekly blogs and occasionally post my own recurring themes. Occasionally I throw in comments, kudos or complaints about the world situation. I am retired, married to a smart, talented lady who once thought we computer people were geeks and now is one of us geeks. I have a long time interest in photography. We live in Maryland, about 50 miles from Washington, DC.
My main camera is a Nikon D3100 with two zoom lenses (18-55 and 55-200).
