Some of the Canada Geese have stayed. The large flocks of several hundred have been gone for a couple of months. I have heard, but not seen geese around dusk for several weeks. There is a creek beyond the trees at the edge of the field and I assumed they were down there. Then I spotted a few fly low over the field. The past few days a flock of about 30 has gathered at sunset to carry on a loud conversation, sometimes well into the night.
Nice gaggle picture. Lots of geese around here in PA too. The other day I took a picture of two adults walking their baby across the street. That's something I never saw in CA or TX.

I began this blog in 2008 after I retired. My main interest is photography and so most posts will contain photos, along with brief comments or explanations. I participate in several weekly blogs and occasionally post my own recurring themes. Occasionally I throw in comments, kudos or complaints about the world situation. I am retired, married to a smart, talented lady who once thought we computer people were geeks and now is one of us geeks. I have a long time interest in photography. We live in Maryland, about 50 miles from Washington, DC.
My main camera is a Nikon D3100 with two zoom lenses (18-55 and 55-200).

See you around.
Nice snap. 30 in one place is not a bad number.

Is this your Nikon camera, this and the flowers? You're getting good results.
Whoa, a lot of the geese gathered over there and I can only imagine the ruckus! I love the sounds! Great photo.
