Day 28 - Our resident yard critters

These are our resident tree critters. They live in the maple next to this oak and love the acorns. They also bury acorns (and walnuts from down the street) in our flowerbeds - then forget where they put them. So we end up with sprouting trees amongst our azaleas and impatiens.

Great photos! I took a picture yesterday of THREE squirrels having a lunch meeting outside my window, but it wasn't as good a photo as yours. ;)

Great shots! I can rarely catch our squirrels in the trees. We have a corn feeder in the backyard for them, so I photograph them there. Ours do the same things with the acorns, and we're constantly pulling oak strands from the flower beds all year long :)

Funny story. I was walking back & forth through my apartment complex on Sunday, doing laundry & other such fun tasks, and I kept seeing all these mysterious little divets in the grass & mulch. They were all the same size & perfectly round. I could not figure out what would cause that for the life of me. And then I saw the squirrel. Apparently he was looking for something he buried. I wonder if he ever found it. ;-)
