With two weeks of abnormally cold weather, Carroll Creek is frozen and snow covered, except under the bridges. I found this reflection under one of them.
James makes a good point ... why is it that the water under a bridge doesn't freeze. We have the same issue on our channels and, in fact, there are often snowmobile accidents by the bridges because of it. That said, it is a beautiful shot, Lew.
Maybe it's warmer under the bridge. Probably is, otherwise hobos wouldn't sleep under bridges, right? Just a guess. Beautiful shot, though, Lew, and I also love your header photo with the plant holding the snowball. K
Good capture, but brrrrr. I will be happy when spring arrives. We have a few inches of snow in Georgia now and are awaiting the ice. Prepared for an outage. Stay warm!

I am retired, married to a smart, talented lady who once thought we computer people were geeks and now is one of us geeks. I have a long time interest in photography. We live in Maryland, about 50 miles from Washington, DC.
My main camera is a Nikon D3100 with two zoom lenses (18-55 and 55-200).

Nice shot! It seems to me that it should be even colder under the bridge.
What a nice and rare winter reflection... Great idea !
Bridges make can make for good reflections, as this one does. Wouldn't want to walk on that ice, but see someone did.

Nice shot. It certainly has been a frigid winter.
A very nice partial reflection.
I liked these photos. The reflection one is a favorite.
