Verified words? - 25-th edition
Verified Words are new words created by blogger to test our ability to decipher strange fonts (and foil the spammers). Occasionally, blogger provides a real word when I comment on your blogs. I am posting new editions in place of "Odd Shots" for a while. I am including some double word phrases that have appeared recently on blogger. They are harder to "spoof" than the single words and also give dictionary.com and wikipedia problems. Here are three more of my definitions along with the suggestions of dictionary.com and wikipedia.
dersabi
dictionary.com - NOT a word, suggested "Desai".
wikipedia - NOT a word, suggested "dersaei".
Lew's definition: der-sabi - The Lone Ranger in Germany.

Reflections - Sparkling water
The late afternoon sun sparkles on Carroll Creek and reflected sunlight lightens the under side of the bridge.

Odd Shots - Expecting snow???
This was taken April 10, 2012. In March we had temperatures in the 80's F and reports were that the average temp was 10 degrees above normal. So far I don't think it has been above 60 in April. Does the owner of this snowplow and salt spreader equipped truck know something the weather forecasters are not telling us? (The truck did not plow much snow this past winter.)

PhotoShop - Glowing edge duck
A cropped version of this duck on Carroll Creek is my header. I applied PhotoShop glowing edges and like the effect on the duck and ripples in the water.
