Thursday morning the rain drops on this lily reflected the points of light from my flash.

Odd Shots - Sheep's clothing?

I do not expect to see fancy sweaters on farm animals around here, but I spotted these newly shorn sheep at the fair wearing what appeared to be non-wool clothing.

PhotoShop - Palette knife

Playing with PhotoShop Elements 4.0, I applied several of the "Filter -> Artistic" effects. For this shot of the rear of two houses in Frederick, I liked the "Palette knife". The original image is below.

Weekend Reflections - Red or blue?

When I posted a reflection of this vase two weeks ago, Imac suggested a red rose. We planted a blue hydrangea, so I got both. As interior decorator in charge, Marianne chose the blue, but she has some other ideas, so this reflection may appear again.

PhotoShop - Fill flash

I spotted this hawk early one morning while visiting our granddaughter in South Carolina. The sun was almost behind the hawk, leaving the details in the shadows. First I cropped the image, then little enhancement with PhotoShop brought out its markings and eye. I used fill flash and then added a contrast.
