In addition to the usual modes (auto, scene, portrait, action, etc) on most digital cameras, there are Programmed Auto, Shutter priority auto, Aperture priority auto, and Manual. In these 4 modes, there are other settings that can be manually set, with the camera doing the rest. I set the metering to "spot" and the camera automatically set the rest based on the light of the moon itself. My first attempts were in shutter priority mode and the moon was over exposed.Lewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03697266305154485433noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-857217593683453639.post-71397345845712836682008-01-22T11:34:00.000-05:002008-01-22T11:34:00.000-05:00OK, I was out last night, shivering, trying to do ...OK, I was out last night, shivering, trying to do the same thing. Except it was extremely cloudy here. I have a new Canon, not a Nikon, and no clue how to use it for things like this. When you say "programmed exposure", what does that mean? And spot metering, gosh I feel like a dummy! I did take some but haven't transferred them yet. I'm sure they are all blurry and not nearly as awesome as your photo - very very good!Stacy at Exceedingly Mundanehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10193142015462051142noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-857217593683453639.post-60270379436027106152008-01-22T09:42:00.000-05:002008-01-22T09:42:00.000-05:00Excellent.
